I love creating family portraits in the Fall! The colors are wonderful, the temperature is cooler and it’s a time to gather.
The only thig that makes family portraits even better is when you photograph the same family year after year! It’s such a wonderful way to see how the kids are growing and to keep in touch with everyone

It’s been so warm out until recently that you may not have remembered to do certain cold weather tasks. One of them is putting up your storm door on your doors if you have one. I remembered to do mine last evening. Not only good to do now for the cooler weather, but to also get ready for the trick-or-treater’s on Monday! It’s much nicer having the main front door open with the outside light on so the kids know we’re participating.
While out and about the other evening I heard a large flock of birds (geese) flying in very dark twilight after sunset. It took me a while to spot them because it was so dark but there they were. I had to use my Samsung Focus phone camera to get the shot – by the time I found and setup my better camera, they would have been out of range!
