ShowKids Invitational Theater (SKIT) will be presenting ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in May 2023. I’ve been the official photographer of this wonderful group for over 20 years.
Above are some head shots of most (but not all) of the cast.
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing ShowKids Invitation Theatre (SKIT) for over 25 years! They’re a wonderful community theatre group that features youth actors.
I had an absolute blast creating these publicity photos. All three of these actors are great and this will be a must-see show!

Last year was unlike any other previous years for them as well as many theaters. They were able to have an abbreviated performance outdoors to keep the tradition alive after having to cancel in 2020.
I’ve been capturing moments in theater photography for over 20 years. Last year was a tough time for Showkids Invitational Theatre as was the case for many in the arts.
Their first weekend was supposed to be outdoors on a stage in the parking lot of Church of the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately mother nature had other plans with rain and unseasonable cold temperatures.
The second weekend did take place outdoors on their rented stage. Above is a very small example of some of the images captured.

I created some publicity portraits for Showkids Invitational Theater’s show “Sound of Music.”
Theater like many of the Arts, was deeply impacted in the past 18 months by COVID-19. As you can see in the photograph above, some members of the cast who were too young to be vaccinated wore masks at times.
The above photographs were used to promote the show to local media outlets. The show was scheduled to take place on an outdoor stage at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Lebanon, NJ. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate the first weekend. Fortunately someone in the cast had a connection with the South Ridge Community Church in Clinton. They are blessed with a large indoor gathering place. The opening weekend shows where held there.
The above photographs are some of the seniors who, for them, was their last SKIT show!
Look for an upcoming posting of actual show photographs.

Composites are a wonderful option if you are in love with several photographs. I can take several and blend them together to make a single treasured memory. The number of photographs that look good in a composite depends on the size of the composite. Generally up to 5 looks good on 8×10 and 11×14. Up to 7 or more can work for 16 x 20 and larger
Composite from SKIT’s “Mary Poppins”
I create all of my composites on either single weight matboard or in the case of 5×30’s, double weight. These make the final product more durable and strong. In fact you could even display them as is or they fit perfectly in a frame.
These composites can have a show name on the top (as pictured) or for dance, a popular dance quote. I have several to choose from or we can use your own! On the bottom can have the name – year, just the name or nothing at all. It’s customized just for you!
5 x 30 composite from SKIT’s “Frozen Jr”
Here is an example of a 5×30 composite. These are individual prints printed on a double-weight mat board. These can contain 5, 6 or 7 photos. This product can be horizontal (as pictured) or even vertical. These are great for unique spaces in a room like above a doorway or on top of other pictures. It’s durable enough to be displayed as-is. If you prefer a frame, they are available on Amazon. If you can’t find them, let me know and I’ll send you the link.
I have the ability to show you an online proof of what your composite will look like before it’s created.
