Once again I had the pleasure of photographing and recording video of the Stewartsville Performing Arts Club (SPAC) musical. This year the Middle School performed “Hairspray Jr.” Another great show! Hard to believe these are middle school kids!!
Photos from the show, along with head shots of the cast and crew and character formals are available for ordering at the following location:
You can order prints, digital downloads and more at the above location.

I had the pleasure to attend and photograph SKIT’s “Hairspray!” cast party. Pictured to the left are the seniors cutting their cake.
As the parent of one of the leads, its hard to imagine the show is over. I remember photographing the announcement of the show, the many rehearsals, and of course the shows themselves. What doesn’t seem like can come fast enough is suddenly over in what seems like an instance.
I wish all of the seniors the best at whatever they choose to do in life and I know they will be great at it. Such a fantastic group of young adults!
Additional photos are available here.
As Hairspray closed on Sunday, here’s one last photo of Tracy with her stage Mom, Edna. It was a great show and all who went to see it enjoyed it.
So many great shots to pick from last night’s SKIT performance of “Hairspray!” I picked one of Cassandra as Penny since this was the first time she performed in the show as her part was triple cast. Great job!
Tickets are still available for this afternoon and especially Sunday afternoon BUT ONLY AT THE DOOR. Tonight’s is nearly sold out.
The opening weekend of Hairspray! went very well!
I needed to use my fish-eye lens in order to take this cast photo at the end of Sunday’s performance. As I get the opportunity to take more of these I’ll work on making them sharper of using a wide angle lens.
Great tickets are still available for next weekend on most days at http://showkids.tix.com.
As regular readers of this blog will know I’m photographing SKIT’s Hairspray! performances. I was asked to create some photos that will be used in a bedroom scene above. They wanted to take some of the publicity photos I already took of Edna and her daughter (Tracy) and hang convert them to B&W/sepia (common on home photographs in the early 60’s).
Today’s performance is nearly sold out but plenty of great seats available for next weekend. But act fast as they won’t last forever!
