ShowKids Invitational Theater (SKIT) will be presenting ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in May 2023. I’ve been the official photographer of this wonderful group for over 20 years.
Above are some head shots of most (but not all) of the cast.
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing ShowKids Invitation Theatre (SKIT) for over 25 years! They’re a wonderful community theatre group that features youth actors.
I had an absolute blast creating these publicity photos. All three of these actors are great and this will be a must-see show!
I’ve been capturing moments in theater photography for over 20 years. Last year was a tough time for Showkids Invitational Theatre as was the case for many in the arts.
Their first weekend was supposed to be outdoors on a stage in the parking lot of Church of the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately mother nature had other plans with rain and unseasonable cold temperatures.
The second weekend did take place outdoors on their rented stage. Above is a very small example of some of the images captured.

I created some publicity portraits for Showkids Invitational Theater’s show “Sound of Music.”
Theater like many of the Arts, was deeply impacted in the past 18 months by COVID-19. As you can see in the photograph above, some members of the cast who were too young to be vaccinated wore masks at times.
The above photographs were used to promote the show to local media outlets. The show was scheduled to take place on an outdoor stage at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Lebanon, NJ. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate the first weekend. Fortunately someone in the cast had a connection with the South Ridge Community Church in Clinton. They are blessed with a large indoor gathering place. The opening weekend shows where held there.
The above photographs are some of the seniors who, for them, was their last SKIT show!
Look for an upcoming posting of actual show photographs.

I had the pleasure to once again create some publicity photographs for SKIT next production, “Newsies.”
These photographs have appeared in media advertisements and will also be on display in the lobby of the theater
More publicity photographs, along with photographs from the show will be on my website: http://skit.dabourphotography.com. Prints and digital downloads are available for purchase.
Tonight is opening night for SKIT’s next show: Disney’s “My Son Pinocchio, Geppetto’s Musical Tale.” Tickets are available in advance or at the door. The show will run 2 weekends at Voorhees High School auditorium. More information on the SKIT website.
I had the privilege to create some publicity photos for them. It’s a great funny show that will let you relive your Dr Seuss memories. I recommend getting tickets ASAP!
This is what happens when you post publicity shows from a large theater group and a wedding to your photography web site right around the same time! The sharp down at the end is only because it’s 8 am in the morning and the days stats are not finished yet.
Preview of SKIT’s upcoming “Seussical the Musical” at HealthQuest
